we made it: we went to berlin again. after considering all kinds of options we decided to go to berlin again. of course we stayed in the same hotel where we always stay, near alexanderplatz with the car safely parked in the inner courtyard.
as usual we park our car as soon as we arrive and for the rest of the time in berlin frequently use the extensive public transport system, even late at night. late friday night even looked like late friday night in finland with lots of happy and almost drunk people, having fun and having a good time
the square in front of the kulturplast seems very interesting for a huge table and four chairs, a proposal for a project already suggested in 1998 in the goethe institute in rotterdam, the netherlands. now i feel more confident i can handle the project.
i know what to do, whom to contact and how to start. i made already lots of pictures during this visit toberlin but also in the all other visits up to now. first of all a new presenation is needed and that is what i will work on the coming weeks.
lots of pictures, lots of scetches and finally only some pictures remain. i will present them on my website as soon as they are here. anyhow berlin is great and i am looking forward to get my table and chairs realized. berlin is the perfect place for a project like this, just in the middle of east and west and north and south.
the table and four chairs can serve as a symbolic platform for dialogues, meetings and conversations and as a strong visual sign that getting together around a table is the only way to solve disputes. i hope to be back in berlin as soon as possible.
