mondaymorning

working on large projects like the tulips and the fisherman for istanbul is sometimes hectic and sometimes slow. as an artist you have to be very flexible. in such periods it is good to make pictures from the coast. it keeps you busy, it does not hurt the other projects and it allows your brains to do their work and concentrate on that what is essential

most of my my projects are based on thoughts about what to do, how to do it and with whom for what reasons. on a day like this, patiently waiting to see how things develop, a drive to the beach is a nice interruption fro mthe dialy sessions at the phone and the computer
today i went from kijkduin to scheveningen, solo. h. promised to come, but did not show up. etween kijkduin and scheveningen i made only one stop. the area  was chaotic due to renovation and building projects and it was unclear how to get to the beach. i made some pictures near kijkduin and all other on or near the southern pier of the scheveningen harbour.

the wheather was unpreditable: it was sunny and ark, dry and wet, blue and black, with rapidly changing lights and darks. amazing wheather but also scarty, as it a rather long walk from the end of the pier to the parking place.

on this moment the pictures are transferred van the sony tot the computer, allowing me time to see what to keep and what to delete. another trip to schevennigen is necessary, to make pictures from the northern pier to katwijk.

it was still dry when i got in the car. on the way home it started raining, heavy rain, which inetrrupted the traffic and probably caused a traffic jam. still some phonecalls and emails and then it is time for the next meeting
