originally i had in mind to spend this week working on the house to continue with the bathroom, to get rid all kinds of things, especially old book and wastematerial from the old bathroom. but that did not work. it has been a normal very active working week, with lots of meetings and lots of emails.
yesterday i have been scetching for the first time since long. it felt great to have a pencil in my hand and normal paper and no computersounds like the active harddisk or the fan from the cooling. i enjoyed dawing since primaryschool.
i like to draw on large heets, taped on the wall and make huge drawings. years ago i made drawings on many of those sheets taped together, with soft thick pencils, charcoals and other soft maetrails. the drawings were quite messy but the feelings was great. i still have some of these drawings. once one of our building workers had discovered sme of them and used them to cover the floor. he was proud that he had taken such good care of the new floor but at the same time destroyed some of my large drawings.
i like to use many colours of cocnentrate on black and white. once i was present when keith häring apinted/draw a huge sets of his wellknow "comics" on the large window panes of the the venster gallery in rotterdam. he started in the upper left corner and some hours later ended in the lower right corner. i had lunch with him before, in a cafe near the gallery directly after his arrival in the netherlands.
later i saw him again sitting in a window frame in antwerpen signing all kinds of htings for the visitors in the gallery. some years later i met him in münster, at that moment really famous and alsmot impossible to approach. i still enjoy his drawings, his choice of music and his tremendous energy.
